One Helmet One History II: US M1 Helmet circa 1941

Author's Note: This helmet is named to a Lieutenant Colonel. His name's H. J. Pearce. The helmet is painted USMC dark green. Any help in finding information on this man would be appreciated.

One Helmet One History II: USSR SSH40

After 6 months of grueling work, I am back to blogging. One Helmet One History is back, with MORE helmets! Welcome to the 2nd Season of the OHOH, enjoy!

Author's Note: This helmet is a SSH40, but it is not made during WWII, but in 1959. Everything except the markings and rivet size is identical to that of the ones used in WWII. The observation on the liner's comfort is made by the author for this is one of the two helmets that the author could actually wear. (CT-59, P-3)

One Helmet One History #8 M1945 Jean d'Arc Helmet

* Regarding French tanks: Some French tank's are superior to that of Germany in the early stages of the war (eg. Char B1BIS), the factor that accounted for their defeat, however, is not the tanks themselves but the tactics employed. Special thanks to the experts at Military Helmet Collectors group who have shed light on this new perspective on WWII France!
